COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

April 6, 2017

Commissioners Doug Tucker, John Grewell, and Bill Bullock and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

Gary and Sue Wilken met with Commissioners regarding the Remington Ranch Subdivision. They own a number of lots within the subdivision and met with Commissioners to inform them they are working on a five-year plan to bring the subdivision back to its “pristine status.”

8:40 Red Lodge Road Foreman Eric Walker, Ted Dinsdale, and Craig Stevens from Matriarch Construction met with Commissioners to discuss over excavation in the Dinsdale pit that occurred during gravel crushing operations. The County requested the pit wall be replaced and put back into regular contour within permitted boundary. Matriarch plans to remediate area this weekend.

Commissioner Grewell moved approval of Claims for March 2017; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Grewell moved acceptance of District Court Fines Distribution report for March 1, 2017 – April 3, 2017; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Grewell moved acceptance of Clerk and Recorder Monthly Deposit Reconciliation for March 2017; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.

9:00 County Atty Alex Nixon, Deputy County Attorney Shannon Foley, Civil Deputy County Attorney Jacque Papez, Sheriff Josh McQuillan, DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners to discuss Simulcast Radio System. The County has received an invoice from Industrial Communications for work on the radio system to keep it working. Commissioner Grewell recommended adding a paragraph to the letter stating the County will not be paying charges related to making the system functional.

9:20 Commissioners discussed Edgar Sewer system and agreed to provide County equipment to assist with flushing the system.
