Commissioners Doug Tucker and Bill Bullock and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance
Corb Stoman, JoAnn Blyton, Carl Devries, Scott Blain, Roxy Milton, Gordon Sirrine, Bob Adkins, Danny Mydland, and John Cordes were present.
Commissioner Bullock moved to approve claims for July 2017; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.
Commissioner Bullock moved to approve meeting minutes for July 13, 17, and 20th and 24th; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.
9:00 Civil Deputy Jacque Papez met with Commissioners. They discussed proposed referendum language for Red Lodge Cemetery District. Big Horn County, WY has made some changes to interlocal agreement. Still waiting to hear back from Tom Dunn on Simulcast evaluation.
Commissioners and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell discussed the 2017-2018 Budget. Angela proposed approximately $400,000 in cuts to help balance the budget including: Sheriff’s Office digital fingerprint machine, weed district 4-wheeler, and fund transfers to capital improvement funds. Need about another $200,000 in cuts. Angela will try to get better numbers on Treasure State Endowment Program Grant reimbursement and Victim Witness Grant revenues and revise salary expenditures to bring the budget closer to balance.
