Commissioners Doug Tucker and Bill Bullock and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance
Roxy Milton, Bob Adkins, Carl Devries, Scott Blain, John Cordes, and Danny Mydland were present.
Roxy Milton stated she has received feedback that folks are upset with the choice of interviews to fill the Joliet Commissioner seat. She urged Commissioners to select someone who would listen to people and not give preferential treatment to individuals based on personal relationships. Commissioner Bullock noted the selection process; applicants not selected for interview did not provide applicant materials as requested.
9:00 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners regarding draft Mutual Aid Agreement for disaster, emergency, and/or incident assistance with surrounding counties. The agreement would replace the existing agreement.
9:05 Civil Deputy Jacque Papez and Deputy County Attorney Shannon Foley met with Commissioners to discuss County Business. Commissioners and attorneys discussed requiring a bond for the Call Taking Equipment Request for Proposals; Jacque recommend County require a bond. Also discussed the Red Lodge Cemetery ownership issues. Election Administrator Macque Bohleen joined the meeting. Macque noted her conversation with Community Development Director Peter Italiano; he is not confident ownership issue will be resolved in time to hold the referendum in time for it to be on 2018 taxes. Commissioner Bullock and County Attorney Alex Nixon will attend the next Red Lodge City Council meeting to try to resolve pending issues.
9:30 Clerk and Recorder Marcia Henigman joined the meeting for commissioner interviews. Scott Blain District #2 Commissioner Interview.
