COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS
January 2, 2020
Commissioners Robert ‘Pits’ DeArmond, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, Commissioners’ Secretary Barbara Daniel, and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.

9:20 Mike Berscheid from Joliet met with Commissioners to discuss detention facility planning. Commissioner Bullock noted they are in the evaluation process to select a location for the facility by the end of the month. Commissioner Bullock also noted the Town of Fromberg and its residents seem pretty open to locating the facility there. Mr. Berscheid’s property is adjacent to the Stevens property in Joliet, he is concerned about how close the facility may be to his home. He is also concerned about water availability; his home is on well water and he depends on the well for irrigation. He supports the construction of the facility but is concerned about it being constructed at the Joliet location.
9:40 Commissioner DeArmond left meeting to attend an appointment.
10:10 Joliet City Council representative Tim Nottingham met with Commissioners regarding the detention facility site selection. He noted the Town has received positive feedback regarding locating the facility on the Fromberg property. Commissioner Bullock noted Lacy Breding, the closest neighbor to that site, is supportive of locating the facility there.
Commissioner Blain moved to accept Treasurer cash report for December 2019; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
