COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

November 27, 2017

Commissioners Doug Tucker, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

Gordon Sirrine was present.

Commissioner Blain moved to approve Commissioner Proceedings from October 19th and 23rd; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.

8:40 Commissioner Blain left to conduct Sheriff Deputy interviews.

John Prinkki joined the meeting.

8:55 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners to electrical work for the Joliet warning siren. He presented a proposal from ACE Electric; Tom noted the outdated electrical system at Joliet City Hall has presented complications and additional costs for the project.

9:13 Commissioners reviewed the Road Maintenance Priority Resolution and corresponding list and map. DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley was present. Commissioners discussed bus route changes and associated changes to the priority list including: moving Homestead Rd from priority 1 to 2; adding the section of East Rosebud Road past Sandford bridge as priority 2; changing Chilcott and Homestead Roads to priority 2; and moving Scotch coulee Rd to Priority 1. Also discussed changing a portion of Ropp Road to priority 2 pending a discussion with Commissioner Blain. Commissioner Bullock moved to approve changes to road priority list and map as discussed pending review by Commissioner Blain on Ropp road; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

10:20 Commissioner Blain rejoined meeting.

10:35 Commissioner Bullock moved to approve employee time for November 12 – 25, 2017 as submitted; Commissioner Blain seconded; motion carried.

11:00 Commissioner Tucker noted employees at the Bridger Road Shop have requested a schedule change so they can get off early when they come in early to plow snow. Commissioners discussed the possibility of changing work hours and days for the road crew to be more in line with time requirements for snow plowing. Commissioner Bullock will contact the union representative Jerrid Bergum to see if the Union is open to a contract addendum regarding working hours.
