COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

          November 5, 2015

          Commissioners Doug Tucker, John Grewell, and John Prinkki were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.

          Election Administrator Judy Christensen met with Commissioners to discuss the process for combining election precincts. Two Public Hearings will be held: December 7th in Joliet and December 10th in Red Lodge. The resolution will be considered December 10th after the public hearing.

          Commissioners received a letter from the United States Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs requesting Carbon County’s participation as a cooperating agency in initiating the preparation of an environmental assessment for the proposed access for Sage Creek, Section House, and Pryor Gap Road. The issue will be discussed at the November 16th meeting.

          Commissioner Tucker moved to accept Clerk & Recorder’s Monthly Deposit Reconciliation for October 2015; Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.

          Commissioner Tucker moved to accept District Court’s Fines and Fees Receipts Summary for October 2015; Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.   

          Commissioner Grewell moved to accept the revised job description for Full-Time Deputy Sheriff and Coroner and the new job description for the Part-Time Deputy Sheriff and Coroner; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

          9:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon met with Commissioners to discuss County Business. Commissioner Prinkki has contacted Rosebud County regarding long term inmate housing; they may have up to 5 beds available. They also discussed legislative options to revisit housing inmates in Park County Wyoming.

          9:30 Road Superintendent Shawn Mains met with Commissioners to discuss road maintenance issues. They discussed exercising the by back option for Volvo Motor Grader as Volvo will be discontinuing its US market. They also discussed surplus equipment wish list with DES Coordinator Tom Kohley.

          10:00 Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Indigent Services Agreement with the Smith-Olcott funeral Chapel; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

          10:30 Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Nationwide 457 Plan ProAccount and Plan Loan Procedures Agreements as additions to the existing plan; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

          Commissioner moved to approve Resolution 2015-17 for County Attorney Prosecutorial Assistance for Cause No. DN 15-07 and Cause No. DN 15-08; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

          11:00 Commissioners attended the Safety Committee Meeting. Pam Schwend, Rick Martin, Lola Ashby, Judy Prinkki, Josh Juarez, Angela Newell, Tom Kohley, and Jane Swanson-Webb were present.
