COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS
September 13, 2018
Commissioners Robert ‘Pits’ DeArmond, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioners discussed sending Road Foreman to the Montana Association of County Road Superintendents District meetings in Billings on October 11.
Roberta Cady met with Commissioners to request the front door in the Personal Services Building be replaced. Commissioner Bullock confirmed the replacement was budgeted in this fiscal year and he will initiate the project.
Commissioners discussed the Litter Control and Community Decay Ordinance. They would also like to include some of the definitions from Yellowstone County’s Ordinance to make things more clear.
Commissioners discussed the permit for the Bishoff Gravel Pit. The permit will need to be amended to include areas crushed.
9:40 Bill Kampfer met with Commissioners. He would like to be placed on a future agenda regarding issues he has had securing permits for constructing a home.
9:50 Josh Juarez met with Commissioners noting Mr. Kampfer was in his office and expressed his anger about sage grouse permitting.
Commissioner DeArmond moved to approve Commissioners Proceedings as presented for July 30, August 4, and August 6, 2018 as presented; Commissioner Blain seconded; motion carried.
10:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon met with Commissioners. Angela noted the only outstanding issue on the Codan Radio System Contract is the bond. Alex and Commissioners also discussed the Bridger Radio Tower site location and believe they will be keeping the new tower in the same location. Commissioners also discussed the revised Litter and Community Decay Ordinance; Alex would like to keep the penalty clause and add abatement provisions as a last resort.
