COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

          September 28, 2015

          Commissioners Doug Tucker and John Grewell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.

9:00 Clerk and Recorder Marcia Henigman met with Commissioners regarding properties for tax deed and the sale of the parcel by Warren described as T9S, R25E, S33: NE/14SW1/4, NW1/4SE1/4 (80 acres). Bret Crosby bid $22,400 or $280/acre (70% of appraised value of $32,000 or $400/acre).  Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Mr. Crosby’s offer of $280/acre; Commissioner Tucker second; motion carried. Marcia presented application for tax deed for three properties: S01, T08 S, R20 E, Personal Property in Washoe House #115; A parcel of land lying between Tract 2 of COS 1291 and Track A of Cos 1282 Amended approximately 34.89 feet wide and 331.75 feet long connecting Tract 3 of COS 1291 Amended with US Hwy 212, all as reflected on COS 1291 Amended; and South 1/2 of Lot 8, Block 1, of Campbell Addition to Bridger, Carbon County. Commissioner Grewell moved to resolve to issue tax deeds for all three properties; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Grewell moved to approve meeting minutes for September 3rd, 14th, and 17th as presented; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

10:00 Jess and Cindy Donohoe met with Commissioners regarding the Burn Permit Protocols. Undersheriff Dan McJunkin was present and DES Director Tom Kohley participated via phone. There was a discussion regarding the burn permit system that will be implemented in October. Discussed how dispatcher responded to Mr. Donohoe’s call regarding open burning during Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. Commissioners requested that a protocol be established for how the County will respond to unauthorized burns. Tom agreed that we could tighten policies and procedures for addressing burns without a permit or in violation of fire restrictions; he will work with the Sheriff, County Attorney, and LEPC to put a protocol in place.
