Public records held at the Clerk of District Court’s office include marriage licenses, probate, dissolution (divorce), civil, and criminal files. To request information, you may come to the office or write a letter asking for the information. Please include payment in written requests; searches will not be conducted without receipt of the proper fee amount.
Montana Twenty-Second Judicial District Court Carbon County
Clerk of District Court records date back to 1895, and until 1995 were maintained in handwritten books. All records from 1995 to present are maintained in FullCourt, a system now in use by all Clerks of District Court statewide. We are excited to announce that Carbon County District Court is now live with E-Filing on DC, DJ, DV, DN, DD, DI, DR, DA, DF, DG and DP cases. The court ID is 5.
The majority of all Clerk of Court records are open to the public. It is the Clerk of Court’s responsibility to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. Searches, copies, and certified copies are provided upon request. Fees for searches and copies are charged according to statute.
The Clerk of District Court also serves as Jury Commissioner for Carbon County.
