COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS

April 17, 2017

Commissioners Doug Tucker and Bill Bullock and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

9:00 Clerk and Recorder Marcia Henigman met with Commissioners to open bids for title work for tax sale property. There is one property for sale; it is a road tract. Bids received from Carbon County Abstract and Title Co. (CCATCo) for $100 and American Title for $120. Commissioner Tucker moved to accept bid from CCATCo; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Bullock moved to approve Commissioner Proceedings for March 23rd, 27th, 30th, and April 3rd; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

10:00 C.B. Clearwood and Andy Sedillos from the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) met with Commissioners to discuss the right-of-way easement for a flood mitigation project that will be incorporated into Highway 212 construction near Roberts. MDT would prefer the County maintain area in question and take over the easement. The County would be responsible for clearing ditch outflow after construction.

10:30 Contract Planner Monica Plecker and Clerk and Recorder Marcia Henigman met with Commissioners regarding lot access for lots on COS 357. Lot 12 was formed as a road tract and currently sits between several lots and their access to Krug Ln. Lot 12 is privately held by Richard Bem and he would like to give the frontage to the adjacent landowners. 76-3-207 MCA allows a governing body to examine division or aggregation of lots instead of going through subdivision. Monica’s recommendation is to allow the division and aggregation to be done by one survey. Commissioner Bullock  moved to allow survey of Lot 12 for the purpose of dividing and aggregating into existing lots of COS 357 and providing legal access; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Bullock moved to approve employee time from April 2 – 15, 2017; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

12:00 Adjourned
