SB 442 Override Letter - April 6

GIS & Addressing

Mission

To coordinate the development of Geographic Information System (GIS) databases for the County, produce quality map products for internal and external uses and provide standardized physical addresses for occupied structures within the County.

(Carbon County GIS Hub coming soon!)

The GIS & Addressing Department offers both digital and printed versions of County and community maps.   Geo-reference PDF maps are available for download at no cost.  Printed versions of the maps are offered at a cost-recovery price.   Map costs are determined by size, paper type, ink consumption and whether the map is laminated or not.

The GIS & Addressing Department is the addressing authority for Carbon County Montana.  We maintain a database of road names and physical addresses for all structures within the County for the purpose of 9-1-1 and emergency services.  More to come…

Apply for a new physical address online through the County’s Development Permit Package Application or download, complete and return the following Address Application.
