COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

April 3, 2017

Commissioners Doug Tucker and John Grewell, Commissioner Appointee Bill Bullock, and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

Justice of the Peace L. Kevin Nichols met with Commissioners to swear in Bill Bullock as the Red Lodge District Commissioner. Jamie Ostwald, Brian Ostwald, Eric Walker, Judy Prinkki, Sheriff Josh McQuillan, Clerk and Recorder Marcia Henigman, Evan Thompson, Quentin Thompson, Peter Italiano, and Joel Todd were present. Justice Nichols performed oath of office for Bill Bullock swearing him in as the Red Lodge District Commissioner.

9:00 Commissioners reviewed funds transfer agreement for West Fork Road. Project expenses are not finalized; Commissioners would like a firm figure before executing the agreement.

Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Treasurer’s Cash Report for March 2017; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.

10:00 Sanitarian Josh Juarez met with Commissioners for his monthly report. Carbon County received 100% reimbursement for licensed establishment inspections. Josh reviewed programs under his purview for Commissioner Bullock. Josh is seeing an increase in septic permit applications with the nice weather. He is planning to get his annual training out of the way this spring before the construction season goes into full swing. Josh, Angela, and Tom Kohley will be meeting to discuss how to better coordinate permits between departments.

10:30 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners for his monthly update (report attached). Tom and Sheriff Josh McQuillan will be meeting with Industrial Communications tomorrow to discuss ongoing radio issues. Commissioners asked if Industrial is charging the County for resetting the repeaters; Tom recently received a bill for about $4,000 and is in the process of determining what portion of that is related to Simulcast. Commissioner Bullock will attending the meeting with Industrial.
