Commissioners Doug Tucker, John Grewell, and John Prinkki were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

Commissioner Tucker moved to accept Clerk and Recorder July 2016 Deposit Reconciliation; Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Grewell moved to approve additional July 2016 Claims; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Tucker moved to appoint Doug Whitney to the Fair Board to fill out the remainder of Kevin Weimer’s term to end 12/31/17; Commissioner Prinkki seconded motion carried.

9:00 Deputy County Attorney Jacque Papez met with Commissioners. The meeting was closed to discuss personnel issues and Reduction in Force of the Road and Bridge Superintendent position.

9:30 Meeting reopened to the public.

Due to budget request in excess of anticipated revenue for the 2016-2017 fiscal year Commissioner Grewell moved to reduce in force the County Road and Bridge Superintendent position and assign those duties to the respective Commissioner for each district thus leaving the budget on sound footing; Commissioner Tucker second; motion carried.

Commissioner Grewell moved to appoint Nancy Bucher to the Carbon County Library Board representing the Bridger Commissioner’s District for a five-year term to end June 30, 2021; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

10:30 David Ohnstad met with Commissioners. They informed him of the reduction in force and relieved him of his duties. Sheriff escorted him to his office to collect personal items.
