COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS

Commissioners Robert ‘Pits’ DeArmond, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance
Commissioners discussed the fairgrounds facilities and house the dogs seized by the Sheriff’s Office; they also discussion options for heated facilities.
9:30 Leslie Ziegler presented a framed copy of the East Rosebud Wild and Scenic River Act to hang in the Administration Building.
10:00 Sheriff Josh McQuillan, DES Coord. / Fire Warden Tom Kohley, and Deputy County Attorney Shannon Foley met with Commissioners. They discussed the dogs and issues including the time frame for and conditions of a resolution with the owners, coordination of housing and needs of the dogs, and the coordination of eventual adoption. There was some discussion regarding implementing an ordinance to limit numbers and allow for a penalty for violations. Sheriff Josh McQuillan brought up the issue of additional staff to enforce County ordinances due to the extra work load on his office.
11:00 Airport Board Meeting. Merrill Pfeifer, Wally Zook, Willis Coffman, Jim Chittick, Chuck Rouse, and Lance Brown were present. Next meeting October 17th at 11:00.
