COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS
August 18, 2020

Commissioners Scott Blain and Bill Bullock; Administrative Officer Angela Newell; Commissioners’ Secretary Barbara Daniel; and Gordon Sirrine (tele-conference) were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

Newell discussed re-carpeting the Courthouse. She has received two quotes: Covering Broadway and KC Interiors. The quotes weren’t for the same product so she will ask for re-quotes for the same product to better compare.

Commissioner Bullock reported that former Red Lodge Airport Manager John Ladvala has agreed to fill-in temporarily during the vacancy created by the recent resignation of Airport Manager Jim Chittick.

Fire Warden Tom Kohley joined the meeting to discuss fire restrictions. The Forest Service has entered Stage 1 restrictions. He reported that Cooney would not prohibit fires because they have designated fire rings and a staff-person on-site, but fires would be prohibited at dispersed fishing access sites. The majority of surrounding counties are in Stage 1 already. Commissioner Bullock moved to approve Resolution 2020-23 Stage 1 fire restrictions; Commissioner Blain seconded; motion carried.

The power supply on a tactical repeater on Red Lodge Mountain is broken; Kohley is ordering a replacement.

Commissioner Bullock moved to approve Employee Time as submitted; Commissioner Blain seconded; motion carried.

9:10 Commissioners Blain and Bullock adjourned to assist the road crew with Clear Creek Road repaving.
