Commissioners Doug Tucker and Bill Bullock and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.

Aaron Harry, Bob Adkins, John Cordes, Joanna Blyton, and Carl Devries were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners. He informed them that the Road Department employees have been added to the IamResponding system. Tom noted the National Weather Service’s extended forecast is for hot and dry conditions to continue. He would like Commissioners to consider going into Stage 1 Fire Restrictions to help raise awareness and because the State’s fire suppression resources are stretch very thin at this time. Tom will be having a conference call with Dunne Communications to discuss the contract’s scope of work in reviewing the Simulcast radio system.

9:00 Civil Deputy Jacque Papez met with Commissioners. The Interlocal Agreement with Big Horn WY has been amended as requested. Also discussed ownership issues with the Red Lodge Cemetery. Attorneys have not had any further contact from EverPower regarding the Mud Springs Wind Farm.

9:10 County Attorney Alex Nixon joined meeting. He noted the new Victim/Witness Advocate started yesterday.

Commissioner Bullock moved to approve Dist. Court Fines and Fees Receipts Summary for July 2017 and Clerk and Recorder Deposit Reconciliation July 2017; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

9:25 Danny Mydland joined the meeting.

Election Administrator Macque Bohleen and Deputy Clerk and Recorder Lola Ashby met with Commissioners to discuss the Red Lodge Cemetery District Referendum. Administrative Assistant Angela Newell will draft a letter to send to the City of Red Lodge regarding rescinding the Resolution Ordering the Referendum to create the district to allow more time for ownership issues to be cleared up and a legal description of the district boundary to be created.

Commissioner Tucker noted he has been contacted by landowners on the Clear Creek Road who would like to swap parcels that lay on the opposite side of the county road. They have requested the County pay for a survey. Commissioner Tucker informed them it was a private issue.

Discussed interview process for Joliet District Commissioner applicants.

 

11:00 Lola Ashby, Pam Schwend, Judy Prinkki, Jane Swanson-Webb, Nikki Easthouse, Rick Martin, and Tessa Brangers met with Commissioners for the Safety Committee Meeting.
