COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

          August 6, 2015

          Commissioners John Grewell and John Prinkki were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.

JO Hash and Bart Langemeier met with Commissioners regarding the East Rosebud Road. Commissioner Prinkki reiterated that the portion below the Sandford Bridge is not at County Road and there are a number of landowners that have not yet granted easements for the road. Easements would have to be granted and the County would have to be petitioned to be adopted as a county road.

Tom Cambell Charter Communications met with Commissioners regarding fiber lines coming into Red Lodge. Charter plans to start construction in the next couple of weeks.

9:20 Commissioner Grewell moved to approve claim approval sheet for claim 73888 for July 2015; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Grewell moved to approve the Memorandum of Understanding Among County Users of the Community Crisis Center; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

Commissioners agreed to waive the liability insurance requirement for Tom Manual as requested.

10:00 Sheriff Josh McQuillan met with Commissioners to discuss the Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator / Geographic Information Systems Manager Job Description. Commissioner Grewell moved to approve the job description; Commissioner Prinkki second; motion carried.

Sheriff McQuillan also discussed the Simulcast Project progress. There are still some radio issues that Industrial Communications is working on correcting.

10:30 Treasurer Jane Swanson-Webb met with Commissioners for Request for Proposal Opening for Contract Superintendent of Schools. No proposals were received. Commissioners granted Jane permission to contact individuals to solicit interest in the contract.

Commissioners approved Sheriff’s request to advertise for open part-time dispatcher position.

 

Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Baldwin Landscaping’s proposal for 2015-2016 landscaping projects; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

11:30 Commissioners attended the School Transportation Committee Meeting at the Personal Services Building conference room.
