Commissioners Scott Blain and Bill Bullock and Commissioner-elect Scott Miller; and Administrative Officer Angela Newell (tele-conference) were present.

Discussed upcoming legislative session, new Governor’s administration, and possible changes to the State’s COVID response.

Discussed January Board of Health meeting and expected public participation.

Discussed possible funding mechanisms for utility extensions / upgrades in Joliet that could support the proposed Detention Facility.
Bullock noted conversation with Montana Highway Patrol Officer Warehime; Highway Patrol pays rates similar to Department of Corrections.

10:20 Bullock moved to approve the request to fill the forthcoming legal secretary vacancy in the County Attorney’s Office; Blain seconded; motion carried.

Bullock moved to approve Resolution 2020-31 Prosecutorial Assistance State v. Bryan Nutting; Blain seconded; motion carried.

Discussion regarding road maintenance priorities and maintenance of Meeteetse trail. Commissioners agreed that further conversations should include the County Attorney due to possible litigation.

Discussion regarding Tim Blair being selected as the new Reserve Deputy Coordinator; Gordon Sirrine stepped down and placing himself on the inactive list.
