Commissioners Scott Miller, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
Blain noted the Commissioners have been invited to a training with Tracey Mosely from MSU Extension regarding the Extension Office’s responsibilities about the Fair on the evening of January 24th.
10:23 Bullock moved to approve minutes for November 12, 2023; Miller seconded; motion carried.
11:30 Sheriff Josh McQuillan joined the meeting. One bid received for Sheriff’s Vehicles $48,128 per unit. $51,625 per unit. Bullock moved to accept Bid for $51,625 from Laurel Chevrolet with amendment of 2 vehicles; Blain seconded; motion carried.
11:35 Ken Haakk and Doug McIsaac, Marketing MT Ren Fest met with Commissioners regarding the Renaissance Fair for June 2024. Asked about renting Fair Grounds, cost of camping (plan to use every spot), would like the option to expand into additional grounds areas, and the cost of using the whole facility. Also discussed the process to close Rodeo Road; Commissioners referred to City as Rodeo Road is a City street. Discussed the need to coordinate with Fair Board for rentals; Commissioners referred them to Fair Secretary Sally Birkelo.
