Commissioners Doug Tucker and John Grewell were present. Commissioner Prinkki was attending National Association of Counties meetings in Washington DC.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
9:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon and Contract Deputy County Attorney Jacque Papez met with Commissioners regarding the East Rosebud Road. They noted that the issue could be expensive to litigate and recommended the Commission encourage landowners to secure necessary easements and submit a petition to establish it as a County road. They also noted that if it is accepted as County Road the County would set the maintenance priority and schedule.
The Montana Department of Commerce – Treasure State Endowment Program (TSEP) Contract #MT-TSEP-CG-17-845 to Replace East Pryor Road Bridge, Engineering services associated with East Pryor Road Bridge and Red Lodge Creek Bridge, and Administration of the Contract was finalized by the State and signed by Commissioners, County Attorney, and Clerk and Recorder.
9:30 Treasurer Jane Swanson-Webb met with Commissioners. Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Resolution 2016-04 Authorizing Participation in the Short Term Investment Pool with the Montana Board of Investments; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.
Jane noted that she was impressed with the Table Top Exercise that was conducted at the Joliet School.
Commissioner Tucker spoke with John Ostlund, Yellowstone County Commissioner regarding Mike Black; noted he is a civil engineer and would not be qualified to engineer bridges. Commissioners postponed further discussion on the Road and Bridge Superintendent position opening next steps until Monday.
Commissioner Grewell moved to accept January 28 and February 8 meeting minutes as presented; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.
Commissioner Grewell moved to accept System Managed Services Level Agreement with Morrison-Maierle Systems Corporation; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.
