Commissioners Doug Tucker, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance
Gordon Sirrine and Red Lodge Mayor William Larson were present.
9:00 Mayor Larson, Red Lodge Planner James Caniglia, Red Lodge Public Works Director Jim Bushnell, and Kate Stout and Bill Karas from Red Lodge Surveying met with Commissioners to discuss Rodeo Road Survey and easement. Discussed extending easement on north portion of road up to Rodeo Association property. Commissioner Bullock moved to approve amended petition for Fairgrounds deannexation with a corrected legal description and additional request to abandon streets and to approve the survey worksheet with changes for road easements as discussed; Commissioner Blain seconded; motion carried.
10:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon and Contract Civil Attorney Jacque Papez met with Commissioners. Attorneys shared letter from Industrial responding to our demand. Jacque will draft response with documentation of system issues. Burgen – motions in response to complaint due end Feb. Discussed NEI Resolutions. Time line for Limited Tax Appeal Agreement and adding language noting they must meet all requirements outlined in statute.
Commissioner Bullock moved to accept meeting minutes from January 11, 2018; Commissioner Blain seconded; motion carried.
Commissioner Tucker noted Sheyrl Ann construction has moved equipment into the Dietz pit.
11:00 Pam Schwend, Jerrid Bergum, Judy Prinkki, Jeff Schmalz met for insurance committee meeting. Only formal response to the Health Insurance Request for Proposals was from the Montana Association of Counties Health Care Trust. Judy recommended committee write letter regarding RFP.
