COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS
January 10, 2019
Commissioners Robert ‘Pits’ DeArmond, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance
Commissioners discussed employee vacations and procedures for vacation requests. They would like the process to be formalized so that employee vacations are timed to be in the best interest of the County and employee.
10:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon and Jacque Papez met with Commissioners to discuss Krug Lane, a 20’ wide strip between the road and subdivision lots. Kate Stout and Bill Karas from Red Lodge Surveying were present. Red Lodge Surveying is trying to divide the strip so it can be aggregated with the adjoining lots. The Clerk and Recorder has requested a Lender Acknowledgement that the legal description will change for any parcels that have a loan associated with them. Clerk and Recorder Christine Stovall joined the meeting. Red Lodge Surveying noted getting Acknowledgements from all the lenders involved may be difficult and will delay the sale of these lots. Christine would be comfortable sending certified letters to lenders noticing them the legal description has changed, but would like to discuss this with the contract planner before the practice is changed. She also noted this is a practice in her office and not a policy to be considered by the Commission.
Jacque noted the litigation schedule for Burgen has been set. They will be in discovery until summer and will get into the motions phase this fall. Have received first set of discovery requests from Burgen. Industrial has not requested to view equipment before it is removed when the new system is installed. Jacque asked that any removed equipment be kept until the lawsuit is resolved. Commissioners noted the new raido system installation will take place the week of February 11.
11:30 Commissioner Bullock moved to approve Commissioners’ Proceedings from January 3, 2019; Commissioner DeArmond seconded; motion carried.
12:00 Adjourned

Respectfully submitted: Angela Newell, Administrative Officer
