COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

          January 22, 2015

          Commissioners Doug Tucker, John Grewell, and John Prinkki were present.  

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Tucker moved to accept Carbon County Justice Court Report; Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.

9:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon met with Commissiners to discuss County business.

9:30 Commissioner Grewell moved to appoint Dianne Giesick to replace Clarence Toogood on Clarks Fork TV District at the recommendation of the District Board; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

10:00 Alex Sterham from Ryan Zinke’s Office met with Commissioners to introduce himself. Discussed oil spil, Department of Defense surplus equipment; Commissoners are concerned that the surplus equipment has had very little use and they do not believe it is efficient use of funds to purchase unneeded equipment.

11:00 Road Superintendent Shawn Mains met with Commissioners regarding the road maintenance priority resolution.

11:25 Dave McAusland met with Commissioners regarding the East Rosebud Rd. maintenance. Road Superintendent Shawn Mains was also present. Mr. McAusland is concerned that the road is not receiving maintenance although there are a number of tax payers that live on the road. Shawn had the Red Lodge crew blade the road at the beginning of the year at Commissioner Prinkki’s instruction and was unaware that this road was not typically maintained.

1:00 Commissioners attended the quarterly Board of Health Meeting. Commissioner Grewell moved to approve October 23, 2014 Board of Health meeting minutes; Dr. George seconded; motion carried.
