COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS

Commissioners Scott Blain, Bill Bullock and Scott Miller; Shane Swandal (Hulteng CCM); Carbon County Detention Facility Committee Member Jane Swanson-Webb; and Commissioners’ Secretary Barbara Krizek were present for a special meeting to conduct Detention Facility Architect interviews for candidates who responded to the Request for Qualifications.
10:00 Interview with Slate Architecture. Attending: Jacob Augenstein (Slate Architecture), Kevin Pope (IMEG), Clint Laferriere (IMEG), Tim Leinonen (Slate Architecture), Rich Siddons (RS Security), and Scott Cromwell (Slate Architecture). Slate Architecture provided an introduction and an overview of services; a question and answer session concluded the interview.
12:30 Detention Facility Architect Interview with Schutz Foss Architects. Attending: Allen Rapacz (Schutz Foss Architects), Kyle Gillette (Schutz Foss), Kevin Pope (IMEG), and Clint Laferriere (IMEG). Schutz Foss provided an introduction and an overview of services; a question and answer session concluded the interview.
2:00 Detention Facility Architect Interview with Spectrum Architects / Lombard Conrad Architects. Attending: Ken Gallegos (Lombard Conrad), Gary Levine (Spectrum), Kathleen Armstrong (Spectrum), and Ben Bernier (Lombard Conrad). Spectrum/Lombard Conrad provided an introduction and an overview of services; a question and answer session concluded the interview.
3:00 The selection committee discussed the qualifications of each interviewee. Each committee member submitted their ranking to Swandal who tallied the rankings. A formal award will be made at the July 27 meeting.
