COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS       

          July 9, 2015

          Commissioners Doug Tucker and John Grewell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.

          Tom Cambell Charter Communications met with Commissioners to present a proposal for bringing fiber internet from Bridger to Red Lodge. Charter will need a County Encroachment permit for S. Dry Creek Rd to offer same services as there are in Billings. Mr. Cambell requested a discount on the encroachment fee. Commissioner Grewell stated the fee was put in place to help recover the cost of damage to the road; he is concerned that giving Charter a break will set a precedent for others. Commissioners denied the discount request

          9:00 Road Superintendent Shawn Mains met with Commissioners regarding road maintenance issues.

          10:00 Commissioner Grewell moved to reject the request from offices to change the name of the Personal Services building as the county has already ordered signs with the existing name; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.
