COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS

Commissioners Scott Miller, Scott Blain; and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
GIS Coordinator / Fire Warden Tom Kohley met with Commissioners regarding renewal of the IAmResponding agreement which will include two new user groups. Blain moved to approve the IAmResponding Agreement; Miller seconded; motion carried.
Hailey DeMarios and Sandy Conlee met with Commissioners. DeMarios was in attendance for the Public Health update which has been postponed as Cross is still out.
Conlee, Kohley, and Commissioners discussed flood potential. Current levels are well below flood stage.
Blain moved to approve Commissioners proceedings from April 20th; Miller seconded; motion carried.
Conlee and Commissioners discussed Tuesday’s Airport Board meeting. Miller Departed.
10:00 Bullock joined the meeting.
Bullock moved to approve Resolution 2023-17 to Adopt the Carbon County Procurement Policy; Blain seconded; motion carried.
10:20 Mike Keys met with Commissioners to inform them of possible illegal marijuana sales at the shop in Rockvale.
10:30 District Court Clerk Rochelle Loyning met for District Court Preliminary Budget. Discussed wage increases for new fiscal year. Blain moved to increase Wallila from 70% – 75% and Howard from 85% – 90%; Bullock seconded; motion carried. Discussed space needs.
11:00 Disaster and Emergency Services (DES) Coordinator Cyrina Allen met with Commissioners for her monthly update. Elenore Guerrero in attendance. Allen presented her written report (attached). Noted believe woody debris removal is about 50% complete.
11:30 Building Maintenance Coordinator Mike Schilz met for the County Building preliminary budget and maintenance project prioritization.
