COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

          June 18, 2015

          Commissioners Doug Tucker, John Grewell, and John Prinkki were present.

          8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.

         Ken Steinmasel met with Commissioners to request that they relocate the proposed gravel pit. Commissioners advised that under Montana statute they do not have that authority.

         Commissioners denied Snag Bar request to park their ice trailer in the County drive through for the Beartooth Rally street dance.

         9:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon met with Commissioners to discuss County business. They discussed the bridge over Tuttle Lane that had previously been abandoned by the County through a petition process. Landowners are considering replacing the existing bridge and petitioning the County to take the lane back into the County road system. They also discussed upcoming meeting on June 29th, to discuss the creation of a special road improvement district for East Rosebud Road.

         10:00 Treasurer Jane Swanson-Webb met with Commissioners regarding fee increases. Commissioner Tucker moved to accept Resolution 2015-10 to Increase Treasurer’s Fees; Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.

         10:30 Commissioner Tucker moved to accept Resolution 2015-11 Establishing a Notice Posting Location (HB 334); Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.

         11:00 Marilyn Tapia and Shawn Hines from RiverStone Health met with Commissioners regarding renewing the Sanitarian Professional Services Agreement.       RiverStone Health will no longer be able to provide sanitary services for septic and subdivision reviews as of October 1, 2015 and the County intents to hire a sanitarian to fulfill all sanitarian services rather than split the responsibilities. RiverStone Health will revise the contract end dates to “when Carbon County hires a Sanitarian but no later than September 1, 2015.”
