COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

June 5, 2017

Commissioners Doug Tucker, John Grewell, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

8:45 Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Stephanie Hanser met with Commissioners regarding communicable disease plan. Contact information has been updated but there were no other changes. Commissioner Tucker signed the new plan.

9:00 Public Hearing Floodplain Regulation update. Commissioner Grewell moved to approve Flood Plain Regulation amendments as presented; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.

9:45 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners. The meeting was moved to accommodate fire restrictions call. Tom and Commissioners discussed burn permit noncompliance; Commissioners and Attorneys believe statutory language is sufficient for enforcing burn permits and recommend Tom work with sheriff regarding what circumstances a citation should be issued. Commissioner Grewell thanked Tom for efforts implementing systems, believes he has brought the deptartment a long way in a short period of time.
