COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS
March 1, 2018
Commissioners Scott Blain and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance
Gordon Sirrine was present.
Commissioners met with road Foreman Matt Lammiman, Shawn Mains, and Eric Walker to discuss upcoming road projects. 8:45 John Prinkki joined the meeting.
8:55 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners and Foreman regarding current snow pack. Noted we are currently 167% above the 30-year average and there is a good likelihood there will be flooding.
9:45 Sheriff Josh McQuillan met with Commissioners to discuss junk vehicles and the garbage ordinance. Noted vehicles by Boyd Store do not appear to meet the definition of Junk Vehicle if they are registered. Also discussed snow removal at Court House, Sheriff requested better attention be paid to breaking a hole in the berm and more regular distribution of salt sand.
Commissioner Blain moved to approve Resolution 2018-05 Distribution of Local Govt road construction and maintenance match program funds pending finalization of per foot dust control cost; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
10:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon, Deputy County Attorney Shannon Foley, and contract Civil Attorney Jacque Papez met with Commissioners. Have not received a response from Industrial’s Attorney or Insurer. There was a complete failure of the radio system yesterday. Burgen motion to dismiss may take 1-2 months to resolve.
10:55 Commissioner Blain moved to approve commissioner proceedings for January 25, January 29, February 1, February 5, and February 8, 2018; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
Commissioner Blain moved to approve the Treasurer’s February 2018 cash report; Commissioner Bullock seconded; motion carried.
