Commissioners Scott Miller, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
8:35 Bullock moved to approve minutes from 9/14/2023, 9/19/2023 and 9/21/2023. Blain second, motion passed.
9:00 Public Health Director Erin Cross met for her monthly update (report attached).
10:00 County Attorney Alex Nixon met for his weekly meeting, no pertinent discussion took place.
11:00 DES Coordinator Cyrina Allen met for her monthly update (report attached).
Allen provided an update from yesterday’s meeting regarding the State DES rock debris removal project. MT FWP, County Floodplain, MT DNRC, Army Corp, debris removal contractors, County DES, and Commissioner Blain were present. FWP and Corp were not especially excited about the project in general as they were still dissatisfied with the woody debris removal. The deadline for completion is 12/13/2023. It was decided to start in Fromberg and all agencies agreed to permit some sort of project. The State’s bridge at Rockvale was also discussed and approved for some removal. Virtually all sites visited at Western Ranch Estates were not going to be approved by FWP or the Corp. They were more receptive at the City of Red Lodge sites. If all the permitting finally gets done work will start this week. They will work 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until the work is complete.
