October 1, 2018
Commissioners Robert ‘Pits’ DeArmond, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock, and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance
9:15 Commissioner Blain moved to approve Resolution 2018-17 Authorizing Participation in the Short-Term Investment Pool (STIP) Montana Board of Investments; Commissioner DeArmond seconded; motion carried.
9:30 Brent Moore of Interstate Engineering met with Commissioners regarding the On-Call Engineering Services Agreement. Commissioner Blain moved to approve the Services Agreement for On-Call Engineering with Interstate Engineering; Commissioner DeArmond seconded; motion carried. They discussed the County’s capital improvement planning especially with regard to county bridges and available funding through the Treasure State Endowment Program (TSEP) Planning Grant.
10:00 Commissioner Bullock left the meeting to attend court.
Sanitarian Josh Juarez met with Commissioners for his monthly update. He has performed 37 inspections since their last meeting and only needs 26 more to get full reimbursement under the agreement with DPHHS. Josh also noted he took pictures of Mr. Kampfer’s property to assist in proving to DEQ that trigger value testing was not necessary; this is why Mr. Kampfer canceled his meeting with the Commissioners.

10:30 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners for his monthly update (report attached). 10:45 Commissioner Bullock rejoined the meeting. Tom and Commissioners discussed the Bridger Tower bid and construction process. Commissioners agreed the County Road crew would prepare the site, but they are not sure the county has the equipment to remove the existing tower. Tom noted the Wapiti radio repeater is installed. Has had good feedback regarding increased coverage up the main fork of Rock Creek.
Commissioner Bullock noted furnace for dispatch was not working over the weekend. It has been charged and is working properly.
12:00 Adjourned

Respectfully submitted: Angela Newell, Administrative Officer
