Commissioners Scott Miller, Scott Blain, and Bill Bullock; and Administrative Officer Angela Newell were present.
8:30 Pledge of Allegiance.
Jim Pigeon & John Sunday met with Commissioner’s for Public Comment Period. New residents to upper Meeteetse Trail; HOA meeting discussed options for how may be able to improve and maintain the road. Wanted to introduce themselves. Commissioners noted history of landowners purchasing materials and County Road hauling and spreading. Sunday noted there are now 17 full-time residents.
8:50 Clerk and Recorder Christine Stovall met with Commissioners regarding her Accounts Payable Clerk position. Commissioners approved the job description and to begin advertising for the position.
9:00 Contract Planner Forrest Mandeville met with Commissioners for the Red Lodge Fire Rescue Foundation Subdivision, AKA Draper Subdivision Final Plat Application. Red Lodge Rural Fire Chief Tom Kuntz, Sarah Ewald, Clerk and Recorder Christine Stovall, Interstate Engineering’s Steve Stapp, and Jim Grewell were present. Mandeville reviewed staff report noting all conditions of preliminary approval have been met. Blain having reviewed and considered the application materials, project memorandum, and all of the information presented, moved to approve of the Red Lodge Fire Rescue Foundation Subdivision, final plat; Miller seconded; motion carried. Red Lodge Surveying Kate Stout delivered mylars for signatures.
Kuntz, Mandeville, and Commissioners discussed subdivision fire suppression and issues with dry hydrants, and issues with relying on municipal hydrants and water tenders for rural subdivision water suppression.
