COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS        

October 17, 2016

Commissioners John Grewell and John Prinkki and Administrative Assistant Angela Newell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

Commissioner Grewell moved to approve September 29th Commissioners Proceedings; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

9:00 Treasurer Jane Swanson-Webb met with Commissioners for quarterly collateral. Total $12,959,463.03; Jane noted the total is down about $3,000,000 from last year. Commissioner Grewell moved to accept 2017 First Quarter Collateral; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Grewell moved to request recertification of taxable values; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

9:15 DES Coord. / GIS Mgr. Tom Kohley met with Commissioners. He has received a Non-Disclosure Agreement from AT&T regarding text to 911. The Commissioners requested the Agreement be placed on the agenda and reviewed by the County Attorney.

Tom noted the telecommunications upgrade to the Emergency Operations Center is complete. He asked if the Commissioners would like to extend the internet wiring to the Edgar Gruel Building. Commissioners would like to consider that option in the next fiscal year as they do not believe there is funding in this year’s budget.

9:30 Commissioner Grewell moved to accept the Clerk and Recorders Monthly Deposit Reconciliation; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

Commissioner Grewell moved to accept Red Lodge Mountain Sander Truck Lease Agreement; Commissioner Prinkki seconded; motion carried.

10:00 Paul Hamilton, Kyle Kastelitz, David Oxendahl, Bill Oxendahl, Mike Anderson, and Brandon Duffy from Great West Engineering met with Commissioners for the Red Lodge Creek Bridge bid opening. All bids acknowledged the additive alternate items. Bid rec’d as follows (includes alternate):

Battle Ridge Builders         $259,030

Eagle Rock Timber            $314,359.52

Sletton Construction Co.    $326,450

Dick Anderson                  $374,889

Oxendal Construction        $311,667

Great West Engineering will review bids and make a recommendation.

 

12:00 Adjourned

2:00 Commissioners rescinded motion to recertify taxable valuation via phone. The recertification would have an impact on future mill levy calculations.
