Commissioners Doug Tucker and John Grewell were present.

8:30 Pledge of Allegiance

Clerk and Recorder Marcia Henigman informed the Commissioners the State Clerk’s Association is writing a letter to Public Employees Retirement System regarding problems with the new reporting software. The Montana Association of counties has also written a letter.

9:00 Civil Deputy Attorney Jacque Papez joined the meeting. She sent draft Quit Claim Deeds to Commissioner Tucker for the Bridger Cemetery land swap. Jacque and Commissioners discussed motor grader bids; the Commissioners noted Tractor & Equipment’s bid was rejected as it did not include buyback options as requested in the bid documents.

Commissioner Tucker received revised numbers for RDO’s Motor Grader bid excluding machinery attachments from trade. 2014 Deere 872GP $229,000; 2016 Deere 872G $340,220.

Commissioner Grewell moved approval of Commissioners Proceedings for August 25th regular and closed sessions, August 29th, and August 30th; Commissioner Tucker seconded; motion carried.

Commissioners Signed the Business Associate Agreement and Administrative Services Agreement with Allegiance Benefit Plan Management Inc.

10:00 Commissioner Tucker moved approval of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Montana Wool Growers Association for predator control; Commissioner Grewell seconded; motion carried.

10:30 Sanitarian Josh Juarez met with commissioners. He noted there were a significant number of closings in August and with low water, he is seeing an increase in floodplain applications. Josh was called in as backup sanitarian to respond to a McDonalds truck roll over outside of Columbus; the load did not breach the truck and was handled by Hansers. Commissioner Prinkki noted Marco LaRowe has applied for an approach permit for Robert Sewer, Josh has no floodplain concerns with the permit.
